- Ingredients Bolognese Sauce
- 1 tablespoon ghee, melted
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, finely diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- Ingredients Zoodles
- 1 lb zucchini
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preparation Bolognese Sauce
- Heat ghee in large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté onion, garlic and celery stalks with a pinch of salt, until soft (2 to 3 minutes).
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in all remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 to 18 minutes.
- Lower heat to medium-low. If sauce is too thick, add a little water.
- Simmer sauce an additional 20 to 25 minutes; stirring occasionally.
- Preparation Zoodles - Zucchini Noodles
- Use a spiralizer (or mandolin or peeler) to make zucchini noodles
- Heat ghee in a large skillet and add zoodles; toss for 1 to 2 minutes until soft. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
- Top with Bolognese sauce and serve.
