Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds sirloin tip roast
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) salted butter, divided
- 6 cloves garlic, minced, divided
Instructions
- Cut the roast into small chunks no larger than 1 inch. If you are using pre-cut steak tips, cut them accordingly. Season the steak tips liberally with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter until bubbling. Add half of the garlic and saute until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Place half of the steak tips in a single layer in the pan and let cook undisturbed for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Flip the steak tips over and cook until nicely browned on the outside but still a little pink on the inside, 2 or 3 minutes more. Transfer to a bowl and repeat with the remaining butter, garlic, and steak tips.
- Pour any juices remaining in the pan over the tips and serve.
