- 5 tablespoons ghee, divided
- 2 (5-ounce) tilapia fillets
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 F. Coat an 8-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon ghee.
- Pat dry tilapia with paper towels and season on both sides with salt and pepper. Place in the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the remaining 4 tablespoons ghee. Add garlic and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until slightly browned but not burned.
- Remove the garlic ghee from the heat, and mix in the lemon zest and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
- Pour the lemon-butter sauce over the fish, and sprinkle the capers around the baking pan.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the fish is just cooked through, and serve.
