Beanless Beef Chili

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon ghee, softened
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 jar of medium salsa
  • 1 jar of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot chilli sauce
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the onion and garlic for about 4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt and ground pepper.  Cook just long enough to brown the meat.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste.  Add salsa, tomatoes, chili powder and chili sauce to meat mixture.  Reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 15 minutes; stirring often.
  5. Ladle into bowls and serve hot.
